About Tuition Fees

Duration of courses varies significantly and it is common for training institutions to charge on a per week basis, STC is no different in this regard. The duration of each course is calculated to include public holidays and therefore there is no reduction in weekly fees for public holiday/s.

Terms and Conditions

  1. While Shukela Training Centre (PTY) Ltd Management reserves the right to amend fees, without giving prior notice, during the course of the academic year, the STC Management will always try to stick to the advertised fees for the academic year.
  2. All fees are payable in full, irrespective of whether the training program is interrupted by factors beyond STC’s control, e.g. strikes, civil unrest, or other disruption on campus. Full fees are payable in the case of suspension or expulsion resulting from any disciplinary measures.
  3. Although the information in this Student Fees Guide has been compiled as carefully as possible, STC accepts no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
  4. In terms of prevailing banking regulations, post-dated cheques and cheques tendered with ALTERATIONS will not be accepted by the Centre and will be returned to the drawer inclusive of bank charges.
  5. Learners who have outstanding balances from the previous courses, or who have not, by due date, made the required initial payment for the current course, will not be permitted to register until the total outstanding amount has been paid in full.
  6. Learners who, at the end of a course, are indebted in any manner whatsoever to STC will have their reports and results withheld.
  7. Learners and/or sureties in breach of these terms and conditions shall be liable to pay all legal costs incurred by STC as a result thereof, based on the prevailing attorney and client scale, in consequence of which their details may be forwarded to credit-rating bureaus.
  8. Statements of account are dispatched monthly. By virtue of signing the registration form, the student (if self-supporting) or parent, accepts responsibility for payment of all fees by due date, irrespective of whether an account had been received or not. It is the responsibility of the student to inform STC of his/her correct postal/account address and to make enquiries regarding the fee account.
  9. Interest, at the prevailing prime bank overdraft rate plus two percent will be charged on all outstanding amounts.
  10. Learners are allocated tool disks for the issue of tools and toolboxes. Upon issue these tools become the responsibility of the learner. Lost tools will be charged for at market related rates. Payment for lost tools is for the Learners account unless stipulated otherwise by parent or company. Full payment for lost tools has to be made before the end of the course. If there is any outstanding money for lost tools, results, reports and certificates will be withheld until the account is settled in full.
